あらすじ
しろくまは、小さな工房で働いています。 オーナーの口ぐせは「言われたとおりに、つくれ」。 しろくまはその言葉に従って、毎日きちんと、言われたものを作っていました。
ある日、しろくまは自分のやり方を試してみます。
うまくいくはずでした。でも、できあがる前にぜんぶ崩れて、こなごなになってしまいます。
しろくまは工房を出ていきます。
それから、なにもつくれなくなってしまいました。 道具を持っても手が動かない。何を作ればいいのかも、もうわからない。
落ち込んだまま歩いていたある朝、しろくまは道ばたで壊れた小さなロボットを拾います。 なぜ直したくなったのか、自分でもうまく説明できません。 部品も足りないし、直し方の知識もない。それでもしろくまは、ロボットを荷台に乗せて、トラックで旅に出ます。
旅の先で出会うのは、ゾウの街、ペンギンの図書館、猫の森。 行く先ざきで部品を探し、直そうとしては失敗して、また次の街へ向かう。 その繰り返しの中で、しろくまの手は少しずつ思い出していきます。

でも、自分が ほしいものを つくりたいから つくる。
そういう 純粋な気持ちで つくっていると、

Synopsis
A polar bear works in a small workshop.
The owner's favorite phrase is:
"Just make what you're told to make."
Following those words, the polar bear spends each day carefully creating exactly what is requested.
One day, the polar bear decides to try doing things in his own way.
It should have worked.
But before it is finished, everything collapses and breaks into pieces.
The polar bear leaves the workshop.
After that, he finds himself unable to create anything at all.
Even when he picks up his tools, his hands refuse to move. He no longer knows what he wants to make.
One morning, while wandering in despair, the polar bear finds a small broken robot lying by the roadside.
He cannot really explain why he wants to fix it.
He does not have all the necessary parts, nor does he know how to repair it.
Still, he places the robot on the back of his truck and sets off on a journey.
Along the way, he visits an elephant city, a penguin library, and a forest inhabited by cats.
In each place, he searches for parts, tries to repair the robot, fails, and moves on to the next town.
As this cycle repeats, his hands slowly begin to remember.
The day you share something you've made with the world for the very first time can be a frightening day for anyone.
But when you create simply because you want to make something that you yourself wish existed, that pure feeling can someday reach someone else's heart.
Lately, that's what I've come to believe.
